The MOSMAN CAMERA CLUB was first established in 1952 and is one of the oldest camera clubs in Australia with a long tradition.

Each month we enjoy a varied and stimulating programme of guest speakers, photographic competitions, practical and creative sessions as well as a valuable exchange of ideas with each other.

Our membership covers a wide and varied range, both in age and experience, as we have beginners and professional photographers who shoot both in film and digital.

We feel that we have a great deal to offer both the novice and the more experienced photographer not only by way of instruction, but also with monthly competitions for prints as well as digital images.

From time to time the club will enjoy an outing. This may be early morning, during the day, early evening or even a weekend away.  For further details of these outings please refer to our program page.

The aim of the club is to broaden the photographic interests of its members, and to provide education, guidance, competition and social interaction in a friendly, relaxed and informal environment.

The club is a non profit organisation run by volunteers who all have a passion for photography, and the majority of our members are what’s called “recreational photographers” who take their photographs purely for their own enjoyment.

The club is run by a committee comprising of, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and several committee members. Election for office bearers is held at the Annual General Meeting which next year, will be held at the end of November.

If the idea of joining a friendly club with photography as its common interest or, if you wish to join as a stimulant for personal excellence in photography, the Mosman Camera Club would be ideal for you. Visitors are always welcome at our club, and bookings are not necessary. We would love to see you, so please feel free to attend any night you wish.
